Memorial website in the memory of your loved one

This memorial was created in the memory of (Tommy) who died at the early age of 22.

A VICTIM OF A STALKER
Sadly, it took Tommy's death, to educate family/friends about the dangers of stalkers. To keep his memory alive, WE invite you to light a candle, pay a tribute, listen to the audio portions, read all of the stories. WORDS FROM THE HEART

By:  Tommy at age 18

To My Mother:

There are some things I would love to tell you before it is to late.  I don't want to grow up in life regretting that I never told you how much you mean to me.  It seems like yesterday you were walking me home from kindergarten.  You have given me so much, I don't know how to repay you or how to begin to express my gratitude.  You are truly the most capable mother in the world.  I don't know what I would do or give to be that little boy in your arms again.  We never had much, but you showed me that love for your family and God is far more important.  I will never forget the times that you and I spent together.  I hold those times close to my heart.  They are very precious to me.

Please forgive me for anything I may have done to hurt you. I plan to do a lot of growing up and I want you to know that wherever I go, whatever I do, I will be there for you always. I want my children to know what kind of a woman you are. I want everybody in my life that has any problems to come to me for help. That is why I am so stubborn about furthering my education.

I prayed that I would never see the day when I would grow up.  But, it has all happened at once and time has not given me enough time to grow in the way I would like it. Thank you for everything.  Thank you for the good memories I have.  My memory is very good and I will not forget anything about your loving affection.  I want you to feel you have acheived something in your life by having five children that love you very much.  So, as I go through life's wonders and make mistakes, know I will always come back to you.  I love you.

Your son,  Tommy

REMEMBERING WILL HAVE TO DO
Written:   1999 (1st anniversary of his death)

Tommy,

A protector of family was your trademark.  A trade man by nature in protecting our hearts.  As your mother, I should have done my part and now my son, my firstborn, you are gone - how will I be able to carry on.  My pain is intense.  My heart has been shattered.  Will you ever know how much you really mattered.   I've lost a jewel of the rarest kind, one few possess or even attempt to find.  I miss your touch, your laugh, your kindness, your sadness, your tears, your voice, your letters, your eagerness, your boyish look, your smell, your messy room, your green thumb and your gentleness to.  HELL - I JUST REALLY MISS YOU!

They say remembering will have to do; the memories alone will get us through.  I guess they are right, therefore, that's what I will do.  For you see my son, my memory is good to.

Love Mom

A BLUE CARNATION
Tommy at age 12

Tommy's maternal grandmother stopped by to see if anyone wanted to go shopping.  I could not go, but allowed Tommy to go in my place.  When they arrived at the department store, Tommy's grandmother gave him a couple of dollars and told him to go inside and buy something for himself (as she was going to stay in the car because she was not feeling well).  Tommy did as instructed but returned with a single blue carnation for her.  She thanked him, but asked that he take the flower home and give it to his mother as she was certain she would need it more.  Later that night, his grandmother died from a massive heart attack.

In memory of his kindness, we not only had his grandmother's casket covered with blue carnations, but we had one engraved on his tombstone.
